Located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence inside the Alpilles Natural Park, Le Vallon de Valrugues & Spa is a 5-star hotel (http://www.vallondevalrugues.com/uk/hotel-luxe-spa-saint-remy-de-provence-vallon-de-valrugues-site-officiel.php). There you will find: its ‘La Maison d’Ennea’ Spa, indoor and outdoor pools and a gastronomic restaurant 3 toques at the Gault et Millau: “Marc de Passorio” after its Chef. It is an inescapable stage during your stay in the Provence.
Group: Climb Mont Ventoux
After breakfast, you will leave the hotel by bike. The objective today is the climb of the mythical Giant of Provence (also called The Bald Mountain or the Beast of Provence). It has gained fame through its use in the Tour de France cycling race.
As the name might suggest (venteux means windy in French), it can get windy at the summit, especially with the mistral; wind speeds as high as 320 km/h (200 mph) have been recorded.
Mont Ventoux, although geologically part of the Alps, is often considered to be separate from them, due to the lack of mountains of a similar height nearby. It stands alone to the north of the Luberon range, separated by the Monts de Vaucluse, and just to the east of the Dentelles de Montmirail, its foothills. The top of the mountain is bare limestone without vegetation or trees, which make the mountain’s barren peak appear from a distance to be snow-capped all year round (its snow cover actually lasts from December to April). Its isolated position overlooking the valley of the Rhône ensures that it dominates the entire region and can be seen from many miles away on a clear day.
During the ride, you will be accompanied by three cycling guides. Our 2 mechanics will follow the group with the broom wagon and a minivan that will transport food/drink supply as well as some of your personal belongings.
Tour 1 (strong): Saint Rémy de Provence -> Gault -> Vénasque- > Bédoin
Total: 106 km + Climb of Mont Ventoux (20, 8 km)
Tour 2 (easy): Saint Rémy de Provence -> Gordes -> Sénanque -> Vénasque- > Bédoin

Abbaye de Sénanques
Once you have reached the top of Mont Ventoux, you will take a small break before riding down the mountain again on the same road to head for Bedoin, where our coach will be waiting for you. At the top, a group photo will be taken in order to immortalize your performance.
The coach will then drive you to your next hotel in Aix en Provence. The transfer will take approximately 1 ½ hours (111 kms).
In the heart of a private estate of 5 hectares, between vineyards and olive trees, discover the unique world of Les Lodges de Sainte Victoire (http://www.leslodgessaintevictoire.com/fr/index.php#index.php).
A few minutes away from the center of Aix en Provence, this 4* hotel welcomes you at the foot of the mountain which so much inspired Paul Cézanne.
Dinner tonight will be served at the hotel’s gourmet restaurant “Le Saint Estève”. Mathias Dandine, a Michelin starred chef in his previous restaurants, has been directing the kitchens of the restaurant since 2012.
Group: Ride to Saint Tropez
This morning, you will leave the hotel by bike to head for Saint Tropez.
Hotel -> Saint Maximin La Sainte Beaume -> Grimaud -> Saint Tropez
Total: 125 kms
There will be only one itinerary today. If some people in the group don’t feel like riding the entire distance, our coach will drop them off at a meeting point on the way to Saint Tropez. There they will join the cycling group and continue towards Saint Tropez and the hotel.
Saint-Tropez is a Provençal town, located on the French Riviera 104 kilometres (65 miles) to the east of Marseille. After the war, it became an internationally-known seaside resort, renowned principally because of the influx of artists of the French New Wave in cinema and the Yé-yé movement in music. It later became a resort for the European and American jet set and a goal for tourists in search of a little Provençal authenticity and an occasional celebrity sighting.
You will arrive at your hotel around 4pm. Upon your arrival, our staff will take care of your bikes and prepare them for their transfer back home. Once you have checked in, you will have some time to relax and get ready for the big celebration.
Unique, timeless… The Byblos (http://www.byblos.com/) cannot be told, it can only be experienced, and every stay is different by its colors, its gentle way of life. It leaves a deep impression with its emotions, its scents, its memories…
As for dinner, we have reserved it at the Brasserie des Arts (http://www.brasseriedesarts.com/saint-tropez.html) in Saint Tropez, a chic restaurant with Mediterranean accents in the heart of Saint Tropez.
You will have dinner there first before the venue slowly turns into a night club, where you will celebrate the last hours of your trip the Tropezian way.
This morning, there will be some time to sleep in.
After breakfast, our coach will take you to Nice airport. The distance is 106 km (approximately 1 ½ hours). The departure of the coach from the hotel is scheduled at 1:30pm.
